He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Munson and Anna May Munson (Jackson); his son Joseph Theodore Munson Jr.; and his siblings, Doris Davis, David Munson and Lawrence Munson.
He is survived by: his daughter Theresa Munson; his sister Joylee Peoples; his nieces and nephews, Stevie Munson, Phillip Munson, Kattie Woodyard, Teresa Davis, Dixie Deering, Tonia Canfield and Sherry Peoples; and his close friends, Ruby Chaney, Larry, Joanne Mann, Mike Thompson and Roger Howell.
