He is survived by: his close friend Etta Mae Longerbean; his children, Daniel "Lewis" Files, Crystal Baker and Amber Files; his grandchild Aleya Kay Files; and his siblings, Mike (Linda), Dennis, Glenn Files, Connie Butts (Jeff), Belinda Silver (Gary), Jackie Files, Tammy Angstadt (Mike) and Marie Beavers (Jay). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
