She was predeceased by: her parents, James Scritchfield and Patricia Villinger Scritchfield; her husband Robert Abel; her daughter Patty Henderson; and her sisters-in-law, Mary Merico, Eleanor Allard and Alberta Abel.
She is survived by: her sons, James "Jimmy" Abel (Aubrey) of Florida and Wesley Abel (Mandy) of Fairmont; her grandchildren, Logan, Lindsey, Megan Abel and Ryan Henderson; her son-in-law Brian Henderson; her sisters-in-law, Libby Bintti (Bob) of Kentucky, Dessie Haught of Fairmont, Linda Bingaman (James "Red") of Fairmont and Janet Rush of Fairmont; and her cousin Sissy Siburt.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family.
