With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donald Ray Pethtel of Fairview, West Virginia, born in Wheeling, West Virginia, who passed away on February 25, 2023 at the age of 80. He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Clay and Mary Pethtel; his grandmother Fannie Mae; his siblings, Joan and Danny; his sons, Shawn and Eric; and his great grandchild Nevaeh Loar.

He is survived by: his wife Judy Ann Tennant; his children, Pamela Dawn Loar (Rick) of Fairview, David Ray Pethtel (Deanna) of Fairview, Todd Pethtel of Fairview and Heather Ann Megna (Nick) of Swisher Hill; his grandchildren, Brent Loar (Amanda), Krystle Loar (Timmy Reed), Ory Pethtel, Shaunee Pethtel (Thomas Stoffer), Cheyenne Cottrell (Zack), Kayla Price (Levi), Tara Elam (Kody), Coltin Pethtel, Brendan, Sidney and Addison Megna; his great grandchildren, Owen, Waylon, Jase, Sawyer Loar, Trenton, Dakota, Shane Reed, Taylynn Boggess, Riley, Emmett, Niya Cottrell and Layton Price; and his brother-in-law Don Pitman of Whitehall. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
