William E. Phillips Jr. Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William E. Phillips Jr. (Fairmont, West Virginia), who passed away on August 30, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Regina Payne Phillips Collins and William E. Phillips Sr.; and his siblings, Betty Thuss, Rebecca Weaver, Duane Phillips, Ronald Phillips and Robert Collins.
He is survived by: his wife Rosemary Carlson Phillips of Whitehall, WV.; his children, Daniel E. Phillips of Shenandoah, TX., Christine E. Miller of Whitehall, WV. and William R. Phillips of Los Angles, CA.; and his sisters, Loretta Abe of Baltimore, MD., Diane Stewart of Cumberland, MD. and Leona Smelser of Florida. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
The family requests donations in lieu of flowers to the Marion County Chamber of Commerce in his name to support the Dr. William E. Phillips Leadership Marion Scholarship.
