He is survived by: his mother Elizabeth "Betsy" Armstrong McDonough; his son Joseph R. McDonough (Ashley Shingleton) of Fairmont; and his sisters, Edee Foley (Raymond) of Fairmont and Leah King (Jamie) of Fairmont. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
