It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ruth Downey of Fairmont, West Virginia, born in Kingwood, West Virginia, who passed away on May 18, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Grover Wiley and Vinetta Metz Wiley; her husband James R. Downey; her son Shawn Downey; and her siblings, Bruce Wiley, Harley Wiley, Clay Wiley, Anna Mae Manzo and Addie Anderson.
She is survived by: her children, Aaron Downey of Fairmont, Laura Brion (Dan) of Chesapeake, VA and April Downey of Fairmont; and her grandchildren, Autum Downey, Nicholas Downey, Dakota Barber, Addie Barber, Alexis Brion, Dan Brion and Shawn Downey. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
