He was predeceased by: his parents, John B. Phillips and Lula Pitzer Phillips; and his brothers, James Phillips and John D. Phillips. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Ann Bragg Phillips; his daughters, Barbara Ann Hoult (Robert) of Fairmont and Laura Tarleton (Charles) of Aliquippa, PA; his grandchildren, Robert "Rob" Hoult (Krystal), Kayla Melton (James), Arianna Ford (Jason), Elizabeth Tarleton and William Tarleton; his great grandchildren, Trace William Hoult, Sean Farquharson, Trinity Farquharson, Destiny Farquharson, Mallory Hoult and Aiden Ford; and his sister Rosalea Nixon (Everett "Buster").
