He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Murphy and Bertha Murphy; his wife Pearl Baker Murphy; and his daughter-in-law Sandy Murphy (Margie Boyce). He is survived by: his children, Annie Boyce of Fairmont, Robert Murphy Jr. of Fairmont, Richard E. Murphy of Colfax Community and Virgil Murphy (Janice) of Fairmont; his grandchildren, Alice Boyce Bragg (Paul), Mary Boyce (Chris McGlumphy), David Boyce, Ashley Stewart (Casey) and Nicole Murphy; and his great grandchildren, Nicole Freeman (Brandon Spencer), Zoie Spicer and Spence Stewart.
