He is survived by: his son Robert Allen II; his brother Nathaniel Askew (Thelma); his nieces and nephews, Lil Nate, Damion Askew (Sara), Terence Askew (Jewel), Nathaniel Barnes and Dawn Askew; his aunts, Willa Wilson and Hollis Cook; and his close friend Lois Jeffries-Smith. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins; and very close friends and extended family.
