He was predeceased by: his parents, James Franklin Britton, Sr. and Evelyn Knotts Britton of Bruceton Mills, WV.; and his brother James F. Britton, Jr. (Rick). He is survived by: his wife Sally Ann Ringer Britton; his sons, Brian James Britton (Jenna) of Brookdale, CA and Travis Dale Britton (Ambria) of Clarksburg, WV; his grandchildren, Ruby and River Britton; his pets, Tater and Koda; his sister Shara Sullivan (Ron) of Newton Falls, OH; his sister-in-law Donna Britton of Bruceton Mills, WV; and his pet Yankee. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Carl R. Spear Funeral Home (12 W Main St, Bruceton Mills, WV 26525). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
