He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Edward Waddell and Mary Cumberledge Waddell; and his sister Carolyn Lloyd. He is survived by: his wife Karen Sue Singleton Waddell; his sons, Richard Alan Waddell, Jr. (Erin) of Fairmont, Erric Waddell (Shaina) of Farmington and Justin Joseph Waddell (Stefanie) of Fairmont; his grandchildren, Kristine Frances-Marie Waddell, Austin Waddell, Colin Waddell, Easton Waddell and Richard Alan Waddell III; his sister Mary Jo Lang (Rodney) of Craigsville; his stepmother Carolyn Waddell of Philippi; his cousin Mike Singleton; and his siblings-in-law, Barbara Rinehart (Shawn) and Jeffrey Singleton (Rebecca). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Ford Funeral Home (201 Columbia St, Fairmont, WV 26554).
