With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Okla Elmer Edgell (Fairmont, West Virginia), born in Worthington, West Virginia, who passed away on October 22, 2023 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Edgell and Lucy Cain Edgell; his former wives, Patricia Saurborn Edgell and Virginia Allison Hampton Edgell; his siblings, James Edgell, Doak Edgell, Lillieray Hall and Janette Lane; his nephews, Steven Edgell, Ralph Hall and Gary Edgell; and his siblings-in-law, Jean Edgell and Ralph Hall, Sr..
He is survived by: his stepson Jack Decker; his stepgranddaughter Kayla Decker; his wife Arlene Marteney Decker Edgell; his daughters, Lois Edgell (Dennis) and Cynthia Verno; his stepchildren, Susan Brown, David Hampton (Lessa), William Decker (Angela) and James Decker (Karen); his stepdaughter-in-law Debra Decker; his grandchildren, Shawn Hugus, Keri Rutherford, Jaime Backman and Amber Berkovich; and his stepgrandchildren, Chris Decker (Stephanie), Brittany Paige (Charles), Jon Decker, Courtney Sites (Brian), Patrick Brown (Val), Haley Decker and Aaron Decker. He is also survived by ten great grandchildren; six step-great grandchildren; and nine great great grandchildren.
