He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl B. Thompson and Geraldine Thompson (Ice); and his brothers, David and Earl "Tom" Thompson. He is survived by: his daughter Amanda Gibson (Jeffrey) of McConnellsburg, PA; his grandchildren, Eli and Amelia Gibson; his sister Connie Butcher (George) of Fairmont; his niece Sarah Vessecchia; his nephews, Joseph Vessecchia and David Vessecchia; his cousins, Melissa Hunter and Andy Thompson; and his aunt Sue Thompson McArthur.
