In loving memory of John A. Savonarola of Fairmont, West Virginia, who departed this world on January 27, 2025 at the age of 78. John leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Though John may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those John touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Savonarola and Mary Marchesani Savonarola; his wife Carol J. Plyman Savonarola; his daughter Mareca A. Savonarola; and his brother-in-law Roger Plyman.
He is survived by: his son Michael A. Savonarola of Fairmont; his grandson Seth (Alanna Toney) of Mannington; his sister-in-law Josie Plyman; and his cousin Donald "Donnie" (Ann Marchesani) of Fairmont.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Ross Funeral Home (801 Fairmont Ave, Fairmont, WV 26554). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
