He is survived by: his wife Linda Sheets Simpson; his daughters, Tina Savage (Leroy) of Grant Town and Tammy Bennett (Mike) of Newport, NC; his siblings, Roger Simpson of Tunnelton, Howard Simpson and Wilma Colebank; and his granddaughter Danielle Bennett of Newport.
