It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Earl Dever Floyd of Fairmont, West Virginia, born in Grafton, West Virginia, who passed away on November 12, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Warren and Dolly Mae Saurborn Floyd; his wife Sharron Floyd; his stepdaughter Valerie Phillius; and his siblings, Joe, Marshall, Charlie Floyd, Ellen, Agnus and Tootsie.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Greg Childs of Fairmont, Joe Childs (Mary) of New Jersey and Dee Pellegrin of Clarksburg; his sisters, Brenda Leighty of Grafton and Karen Simons of Wheeling; his niece Brandy Floyd of Fairmont; his nephews, Jerald Floyd, Charlie Floyd (Diana), Sam Floyd (Kim) and Carl Floyd (Becky); his grandchildren, Sarah, Jerry, Ryan, Billy, Andrew, Kelly, Ashley, Courtney, Stephanie, Aaron and Amber; and his great-nephews, Jesse and Jermey Floyd. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 9:00 AM at the West Virginia National Cemetery (42 Veterans Memorial Ln, Grafton, WV 26354).
