He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Anderson Sr. and Julia Anderson Turner; his grandparents, Jesse, Olivia Edwards, Albert Anderson (Bud) and Nanette Saunders; his nephew Devaughn Goodrum; his aunt Mary Jo Thomas; and his cousins, Occeletta Tamil and Ronisha Thomas.

He is survived by: his wife Delores Mynatt; his son R. Matthew Sowell (Keyara); his pet King; his children, Elijah Marcel Anderson, Julia DeJuan Anderson and Aleaha Johnelle Anderson (Wormy); his grandchildren, Rhi'Le, Nature, Braelyn, Zion and Kaprice; his sisters, Kimberly Anderson Kimbrough (Ammons) and Dreama Lynn Anderson; his aunts, Occeletta Briggs (William) and Erma Dozier (Pastor Larry); and his uncle Lewis Anderson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
