He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil C. Peters and Ina Mae Peters; and his siblings, Glen, Lawrence, Norman, Leonard "Buck" Peters, Helen Elkins, Billie Mackey and Phyllis Turley.
He is survived by: his daughters, Kirsten Nathanson (Scott) of Arlington, VA and Erika Jorgensen (Rob) of Greenville, DE; his brother Clyde Peters of Ripley, WV; and his grandchildren, Gus, Gunnar Nathanson, Annika and Lars Jorgensen. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
