He was predeceased by: his parents, James Black and Mary Black (Goldman); his fiancée Deborah Goldson; his brothers, James Ronald, Charles, Kennethharry, Gerald and Leslie Black; his brother-in-law Otis Maddox; and his nephew Stephen Black.
He is survived by: his son Cedric N. Black; his sister Cynthia Black of Grant Town, WV; his sister-in-law Edna Black of Charleston, SC; his niece LaShawna Norman (Charles) of Haymarket; and his great-niece Mackenzie Norman of Haymarket. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
