He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Lee and Thelma E. Burke Hacker; his siblings, Ralph Hacker, Lanta Hacker, Hurley Vance "Doc" Hacker, Kenneth Hacker and Reva Evans; and his sister-in-law Karen Hacker.
He is survived by: his children, William Lewis Hacker (Carolyn Sue) of Exchange and Kelli A. Wayne (Sam) of Chapel; his brothers, Darrell Hacker (Peggy), Thomas Hacker (Vada), Roger Hacker, Zendle Hacker (Vickey) and Ronnie Hacker (April); his brother-in-law Leroy Posey; his sisters, Barbara Cogar (Edward "Cub"), Laura Boggs (Gary) and Thelma Blake (Jerry); his sisters-in-law, Emma Jean Hacker and Barbara Hacker Porter; his grandchildren, Sherri Hacker, Robert Heater, Ethan Hacker (Morgan), Emmitt Wayne and Alexa Steele; his great grandchildren, Jamie Wine, Kaleb Heater and Ariella Steele; and his great great grandchild Payton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
