She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert B. Singleton and Fannie Taylor Singleton; her daughter Della Mae James; her husband Russell D. James; and her siblings, Carl Singleton, Lucille Garcia, Capitola "Toots" Cain, Betty Davis, Freda Payton and Carol Danes.
She is survived by: her friend Sue Loyd. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
