It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Christina Samson of Eskdale, West Virginia, who passed away on July 23, 2020, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Ballingall and Helen McIntyre Ballingall; and her husband Robert Gillies (Bob). She is survived by: her siblings, John Ballingall, William Ballingall and Helen Higginson (Ballingall); her friend Mary McNeal; her children, Alexander Gillies (Rose) of Point Pleasant, WV, Susan Bates (Jerry) of Columbus, OH and Elsie Coleman (John) of Berkeley Springs, WV; her brother Thomas Ballingall of Philadelphia, PA; and her close friend Sue Darst of Point Pleasant, WV. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 9 great great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Due to the pandemic, face masks are required and social distancing will be observed.
In lieu of flowers donation should be made to New Hope Bible Baptist Church/Gabriel Project or to Riverside Methodist Hospice Services, Columbus, OH.
