He was predeceased by: his father Samuel Adams; his wife Louise Coleman; his sons, Dean and John Adams (Louise Adams); his mother Florence Adams Newton Byrd; and his siblings, Fred Adams and Audrey Adams McCormick.
He is survived by: his grandson Keith Adams (Lindsay) of Columbus, OH; his great grandchildren, Wesley and Sydney Adams; and his nieces, Wanda Woody of English, WV and Gail Osbourne of Salem, NC..
