He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy DeLancey and Bessie DeLancey (Mason); his wife Josephine DeLancey (Ball); and his siblings, Oneta Francis, Ethel Flanigan, Evalene Carpenter and Russell DeLancey.

He is survived by: his children, James DeLancey (Marsha) of Waverly, WV, Albert DeLancey (Kim) of Ellenboro, WV, Laura Cottrill of Ellenboro, WV and Timothy DeLancey of Ellenboro, WV; and his grandchildren, Grant DeLancey (Lauren), Shealyn Sandy (Kyle), Allison Lawrence (Kaleb), Kenna DeLancey and Seth Cottrill.
