She was predeceased by: her parents, Forest Alexander and Stella Doepke Bare; her husband Freddie Winford Hess Sr.; her son Tommy Howard Hess; and her siblings, Forest Alexander Bare, Jr., John Robert Bare, Ella Jane Hess, James Clark Bare, Jack Teddy Bare and Jerry Benson Bare.
She is survived by: her children, Freddie Winford Hess Jr. (Bunny) of Harrisville, WV and Alice Jane Wilson Reed (Tom) of St Marys, WV; her siblings, Joe Stuart Bare of Charleston, WV and Karen Sue Carrol of Charleston, WV; and her grandchildren, Clark Edward Alexander Hess (Carrie), Freddie Winford Hess III, Virginia Ann Hess, Eric James Hess (Tessa), Ronald Michael Boyce (Stephanie), Jimmy Wayne Wilson and Michelle Renee Hess Benson (Will). She is also survived by seventeen great grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
