He was predeceased by: his parent Oscar Channel; and his brothers, Paul Channel, Warren Channel and Garfield Channel. He is survived by: his parent Eula Samples Channel; his spouse Agnes Shreve; his significant other Lee Hoover of Buckhannon; his children, John Edward Channel (Colleen) of Grove City, OH and Pam Channel of Columbus, OH; his stepchildren, Bradley Hoover (Colleen) of French Creek, WV, Darren Hoover (Chasity) of Buckhannon, Jay Hoover (Tina) of Bridgeport, WV, Nancy Gibson (Tvonne) of Buckhannon and Lisa Arbogast (Alfred) of Buckhannon; his grandchildren, Chad Channel of Grove City and Chelsea Channel of Grove City; his stepgrandchildren, Kevin Badgley (Hannah) of Grove City and Kristin Badgley of Grove City; his sisters, Acena Shelton of Hinkley, OH and Ruhama Grissom (Carmon) of Brunswick, OH; and also Ron Badgley of Columbus, OH. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
