She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Newton Bird and Anna Belle Nichols Bird; her husbands, Ralph Ambrose Abbott and Lonnie Gay Drake Jr.; her children, Robert, Dave Drake, Brenda Drake and Linda Lou Fields; her stepchildren, Gary, Ricky and Cathy; and her siblings, Charlie Bird, Johnny Bird, Burl Bird, Jimmy Bird, Betty Rogers, Jean Jones, Jo Ann Smith and Donna Jean Osbourne.

She is survived by: her children, Alfred Drake, Don Drake, Joyce Drake and Kathy Payne; and her sisters, Sharon Hannigan, Shirley Braley, Vera Williams and Verna Dawson. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren.
