He was predeceased by: his daughter Amanda Kay Riggs; his father Reese Oscar Riggs; and his siblings, Benjamin Dale, Richard "Dickie" and Ellen Lynn Stewart.
He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Marie Riggs; his children, Reese Benson Riggs and Carla Riggs Strickland; his mother Velma Riggs; and his siblings, Ronald Eugene, Robert Wesley and Patty Strickland. He is also survived by six grandchildren, two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
