He was predeceased by: his parents, Alva Shinn and Sarah Young Shinn; and his brothers, Ernest Eugene Shinn and Milton Danny Shinn. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Sue Shinn; his children, Jennifer Short (Burnie), Sharon Kay Shinn and Patrick Samuel Shinn; his siblings, Howard Shinn (Sheila), Gordon Shinn (Karen), Andy Shinn, Steve Shinn (Denise), Reese Shinn (Margaret), Carolyn Sue Johnson and Elizabeth O'Brien (Roger); his grandchildren, Braden, Alexis and Bella Short; and his sisters, Athena, Pandora and Molly. He is also survived by friends, nephews, and nieces.
