He was predeceased by: his parents, Bob Kees and Nancy Ann Kees; and his close friend Gary Godomski. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Kees; his daughters, Kimberly Spradling (Robert) and Amanda Lacy; his brothers, Mike Kees (Kathy) and Tim Kees; and his grandchildren, Lindee, Wyatt and Shelby Lacy.
