He was predeceased by: his parents, Garland Holbert and Naomi Holbert; and his brothers, Gary, Ronnie, David, Joe, Tommy and Dallas Holbert.

He is survived by: his wife Peggy Jo Rucker Holbert; his daughters, Amanda Scragg "Mandy" (Tim) and Jana Buckner (Brandon); his siblings, Benny Holbert, Phyllis Wilson (Jerry), Doug Holbert (Chris), Stevie Holbert (Edna) and Timmy Holbert (Donna); and his grandchildren, Ava Grace, Anna Faith, Adalee Jo, Landon Michael, Connor Randall and Ella Nicole. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
