It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rachel Smith (Elkview, West Virginia), born in Charleston, West Virginia, who passed away on May 20, 2021, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Franklin and Rosa Belcher; her husband Robert Q. Smith; and her siblings, Brooks, Shirley, Delbert, Raymond Belcher and Ruby Crowder.
She is survived by: her daughters, Joyce Hunter and Jo Ann Hunter (Robert); her grandchildren, Arch G. Hunter Jr. (Lynn), William Steve Hunter (Robin) and Sandra Mossberg (Chris); and her siblings, Keniman Belcher (Barbara) and Carol Ann Edmonds (Herman). She is also survived by six great grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren.
