He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis Sr. Butler and Betty Butler; and his siblings, Bettyann Yates, Jeanie Burdette and Shawn Butler.
He is survived by: his wife Sheila Butler; his children, Amber D. Jarrett, Chad Butler, Owen Rose and Jeff Rose; and his siblings, William Ray Butler and Reba Butler. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
