He was predeceased by: his parents, Olin Claude and Leta Belle (Hammer); and his brothers, Harlan Eugene "Crafty" Eye and Warren. He is survived by: his wife Mary Louise Eye (Harper); his daughters, Melony Furby Denham of Maysville, KY, Tammy Eye Walker (Bob) of Ripley, WV, Kimalisa Eye Shamblin of Elkview and Laura Eye Surface (Shirley Jr.) of Elkview; his grandchildren, Brian Furby (Amanda), Rachel Brashear (Lynn), Erin Goldsberry (Mike), Emily Huff (Zachary), Claire Alexander (Bennet), Evan Shamblin (Brooke) and Whitney Surface (Alex); his stepgrandson Shirley Surface III (Bell); and his great grandchildren, Regan Brashear, Samantha Furby, Eli Brashear, Henry Huff and Luke Goldsberry.
