He was predeceased by: his parents, James Jackson Mullins and JoLeah Mullins. He is survived by: his wife Mary Jo Mullins; his children, Michael Mullins Jr. of Elkview, Mark Mullins (Stephanie) of Charleston, Beverly Taylor of Sissonville and Amanda Davis (Clinton) of Elkview; and his siblings, Milton Mullins of Winifrede, Nora Laws of Winifrede and Jackie Thomas of Texas. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
