She was predeceased by: her parents, Delbert Dodd and Sadie Dodd; her husband H. D. Sams; her siblings, Paul, Daris, Emerson and Lois Jean Dodd; her daughter-in-law Kathy Brown Sams; and her grandson Jason Reed.
She is survived by: her significant other Hugh D. Sams "Toots"; her sons, Rick Sams and Mike Sams (Wanda); her granddaughter Candice Harper; her great grandchildren, Kaylee Harper, Joshua Harper and Madyson McClanahan; and her sisters-in-law, Betty and Emma Lou. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family asked donations be made to the Frame Volunteer Fire Department, or Antioch Advent Church.
