He is survived by: his close friend Nancy Whittington; his children, Walter Whittington of St. Albans, Eric Spangler (Crystal) of Mammoth, Matt Spangler (Sarah) of Barboursville, Nancy 'Angel Spangler of Elkview and Cathy Spangler of St. Albans; his siblings, Roy Spangler of Cross Lanes, Carl Spangler of Dayton, Gary Spangler of Mill Creek, Elizabeth Stickler of Elkview and Sue Tignor of St. Albans; his great grandchild Jane Ray of Clendenin; and his close friends, Missy Moore of St. Albans, Judy Caldwell of South Charleston and Sammy Seabolt of Elkview. He is also survived by eight grandchildren.
