He was predeceased by: his daughter Pamela Carpenter; his parents, Hubert M. Carpenter and Della Vada Jones Carpenter; and his siblings, Emily Jordan, Jack Carpenter and Richard Carpenter.
He is survived by: his wife Judith Hissom Carpenter; his children, Hubert Carpenter, Jr., Shawn, Snapper and Tonya Carpenter; his siblings, Bob Carpenter, Paul Carpenter, Betty Chapman and Genevieve Paxton; his grandchildren, Justin Smith, Derek Carpenter, Taylor Samuel, Shatona Bishop, Taylor Carpenter and Emilee Carpenter; and his great grandchildren, Aubreanna Samuel and Jocie Simpson.
