It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emma L. Carte Settle of Elkview, West Virginia, born in Frame, West Virginia, who passed away on November 24, 2022, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Wehrle and Anna Wehrle (Coffman); her husband Jack R Carte; her former husband Kenneth Settle (Skee); and her great grandchild McKinlee Grace Petry.
She is survived by: her children, Debbie Petry (Tony) and Ronnie Carte (Glenda Zahrndt) of Ravenswood; her grandchildren, Craig Petry (Emily) of Elkview, Joshua Petry (Stephanie) of Elkview, Jason Petry (Janna) of Elkview, Faith Spencer (Justin) of Elkview, Amber Howery (Brian) and Jonathan Carte; her stepsons, Bob Settle Keith (Cindy) and John Settle (Angie); and her siblings, Donny Wehrle (Dreama) of Sissonville, Bonnie Ramsey (Joe) of Elkview and Virginia Wehrle of Charleston.
In lieu of flowers, Emma requested donations be made to The Lordsmen 2961 Wills Creek Road, Elkview, WV 25071.
