She was predeceased by: her parents, James "Oat" and Gracie Phillips; her husbands, Bruce Hays and John Kee; her siblings, James Bazil Phillips, Hoy Phillips, Betty Winfree, Jewell Gunsalus and Faye Tawney; and her daughter Joan Hays Quinn.
She is survived by: her sons, Samuel Hays (Tressie), Joseph Hays (Connie) and Frederick Hays (Charlotte); her son-in-law Kevin Quinn; her stepdaughter Judy Kee Smith; her brother Curtis Phillips (Maria); and her grandchildren, Stacy Scott, Travis Quinn, Ilene Waldron, Jeremy, Jeffrey and Zachary Hays. She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
