He is survived by: his sons, Dennis Atkins Jr., Darrell Atkins (Kay), David Atkins (Judy), Doug Atkins, DJ Atkins (Ann), Donnie Atkins (Shawn) and Darrin Atkins; and his siblings, Curtis Atkins (Dorothy), Norville Atkins (Linda), Pat Moore (Butch), Betty Newman (Ray), Alice Jameson (Paul), Shirley Good (Bill) and Carolyn Tawney. He is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.
