She was predeceased by: her parent Esper Crawford Shafer, Jr.; her son John Michael Lersch; and her grandparents, Myrtle M., Esper C. Shafer, Sr. of Clendenin, Orville and Edna Mayhan Strickland of Elkview.
She is survived by: her mother Carol Jean Holley of Elkview, WV; her stepfather Forrest Holley; her son Jameson Ian Shafer; her brothers, Todd Shafer, Ron Shafer (Tabathia) and Sam Hicks (Jim); her nieces and nephews, CJ Gore, Aaron Shafer (Emily), Hannah Ray (Daniel), Joseph Ray (Cassandra), Matthew Shafer, Nicholas Hicks and Aleigha Hicks; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Sadie, Charlotte Gunnoe, Brenleigh, Madi Shafer, Michael, Gracie Ray, Benjamin and Conner Adkins.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Hubbard Hospice House in her memory.
