She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Copenhaver and Pearl Copenhaver; her former husband William Gibbs; and her siblings, Bob Copenhaver, Betty Street, Leola Humphries and Doris Ann Casto Graham.
She is survived by: her husband Jack Sampson of Elkview; her sons, Dr. Michael Gibbs (Judy) of Barboursville, WV, Thomas Gibbs of Elk Hills, WV and Stephen Gibbs (Tia) of Lebanon, Ohio; her stepchildren, Adam Sampson (Jean), Scottie Sampson, Lynn Bramley (Robert) and Anne Dailey; her grandchildren, Chris Gibbs (Ashley) of Wytheville, VA., Mark Gibbs (Erin) of Centreville, Aaron Gibbs (Cassie) of Charleston, WV, Jed Gibbs, Catlin Gibbs of Charleston, WV, Nathan Gibbs (Samantha) of Walkersville, MD and Constance Drew (Evan) of Jacksonville; and her great grandchildren, Kyleigh, Colesen Gibbs, Declan Gibbs, Jacob Gibbs, Evelyn and Aurora Drew.
