She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene R. Witt and Anna E. Blake Witt. She is survived by: her husband James C. Smith (Jim); her children, Jamie, Maria (Elio), George (Trina) and Anita (John); her great grandchildren, Reagan, Theo and Martin; and her sister Louise. She is also survived by her cats and all creatures will be remembered by those who knew her best, from the hummingbirds she fed every year to the countless stray or hurt animals.
