He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Carnefix and Annis Carnefix; his wife Betty Carnefix; his son Paul Carnefix; his grandson Eddie Lee Carnefix; and his siblings, Eugene, Roy, Denver, Margaret and Kathleen.
He is survived by: his son Edgar Carnefix (Beverly); his daughter-in-law Beth Carnefix; his siblings, Gary Carnefix (Connie) and Hilda Stanley; and his grandchildren, Jody and Matthew. He is also survived by four great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
