It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Ardieth Carte of Elkview, West Virginia, who passed away at the age of 89, on July 26, 2021. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband James Benton Carte Jr.; her son Gregory S. Carte; her parents, Paul Thompson and Virginia Thompson; her sisters, Peggy Blackburn, Margaret Belcher and Shirley Strehle; and her son-in-law Evan Wingate.

She is survived by: her children, Michael S. Carte (Georgann Carte), V. Renae Barlow (Paul Barlow) and Stephanie D. Wingate (John Johnson); and her brother John P. Thompson. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren and several loving nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations to be made to Galaxy Lanes, 6545 MacCorkle Ave SE Charleston, WV 25304 or the American Lung Association.
