He was predeceased by: his parents, George Amos Armentrout and Maggie Jane Pennington Armentrout; his wife Frances Marie Chewning; his children, Gregory Armentrout, Timothy Armentrout and Teresa L. Armentrout; and his siblings, Melvin, George, Howard, John Armentrout, Mary Bowers, Louise Armentrout and Goldie Hartman.
He is survived by: his son Mark S. Armentrout of Morgantown, WV; his daughter-in-law Joyce Hendricks Armentrout; his granddaughters, Katelyn Walkup (Jon) and Amy Armentrout; and his great grandchildren, Jonah and Eli Walkup.
