With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Roberta Kay Gump of Elkins, West Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 9, 2024 at the age of 63. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Roberta Kay may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Roberta Kay touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Woodrow Wilson Leary and Shirley Jean McHenry Leary; her brother Jeffrey Leary of Ohio; and her grandson Bradley Talbott of Elkins. She is survived by: her daughter Beth Gump (John Robert Gump) of Elkins; her grandson Jacob Gump of Logan; her great grandchild Colson Gump of Logan; her brother Michael Leary of Ohio; and her former husband Carl Lawrence of Logan.
