Quentin Coffman Obituary
Quentin Michael Coffman, a resident of Elkins, WV., a beloved son, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2023, at his residence at the age of 27. He had been in declining health for the past four years after being diagnosed with cancer.
He was born on August 23, 1996, in Elkins, WV, to Diana Lynn Davis and William Michael Coffman.
Quentin leaves behind a sister, Stormy Pastine, and finance Matt Sigley; paternal grandmother, Vicki Wells; stepfathers, Garrett Cooper, and Malcomb Pastine; stepsister, Alora Cooper; stepbrothers, Cody Cooper, and wife Tabitha, Trenton Cooper, and companion, Jake; step-grandmothers, Leah Coffman, and Linda Thompson and, husband, Donnie; step grandparents, Joann and Gary Cooper; special aunts, Shannon Jones and fiancé, Serge Cormier, Marsha Woods, and husband Eric; step aunt, Mandy Dearborn, and husband, John; one niece and one nephew; several cousins. His work family at Leer Coal Mines.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Bud Coffman, and step grandfather, Greg Wells, and special aunt, Gretchen Kudrna.
A graduate of Elkins High School Class of 2014, Quentin obtained his High School Diploma and embarked on a career that he was truly passionate about. His dedication to the coal mining industry not only provided for his family but also contributed to the growth and development of his community. Before his illness he loved to ride ATV'S and dirt bikes, sitting down by the river while he fished for trout. He loved listening to music, rap and rock were his favorite. Here recently he loved to sit on the porch and take car rides to get out of the house.
Quentin, known for his kind heart and unwavering work ethic, dedicated his life to the coal mining industry. He was a hardworking and skilled coal miner, employed by Arch Coal. Quentin's commitment to his craft was admirable and inspiring to those around him. He enjoyed pulling pranks on people and making them laugh.
Quentin Michael Coffman will be remembered for his incredible dedication, unwavering spirit, and the love he had for his family and friends. His legacy as a devoted coal miner will forever be cherished by those who knew him. May his soul find eternal peace, and may his memory remain in our hearts forever.
In honor of Quentin's life, a public viewing will be held on Monday, October 9, 2023, from 10 am until 1 pm at the Kittle Family Funeral Home 265 Beech Ave. Philippi, WV. A funeral service will be conducted at 1 pm. A burial will follow in the Maplewood Cemetery in Elkins, WV. The Kittle Family Funeral Home is honored to be assisting the family with the arrangements.
